Versatility of Porcelain Veneers
We all want a healthy, gorgeous grin. Straight, white teeth are a source of confidence and a sign of good oral hygiene. But even if you practice proper brushing, flossing and care with your teeth, sometimes dental flaws are out of our control.
If you have gaps, cracks, chips or discoloration in your teeth, porcelain veneers might be a perfect solution for you. At River Forest Dental Studio in River Forest, IL, we can set you up with a great smile with veneers.
What are veneers?
Veneers are thin, sturdy coverings for the surface of your natural teeth. At our River Forest office, we use porcelain for our veneers, which is a durable and stain repellant material.
What are the benefits of veneers?
Veneers are a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing solution for hiding dental damage and imperfections. Rather than replacing original teeth, veneers offer a non-surgical remedy that is virtually pain free yet very effective.
Veneers are easy to care for, as you will brush, floss, and rinse them as you would your natural teeth. You will find they are also less likely to become discolored from consumption of coffee, tea or wine. Additionally, the professionals at our Orlando office will ensure your veneers fit comfortably and securely so there is no worry of shifting or impeding of your eating or talking.
What can I expect during the veneer procedure?
We will begin by taking a mold of your teeth at our River Forest office. This mold will be used to craft your veneers, and your dentist may offer you a set of temporary veneers to use while your permanent set is being made.
Once your veneers are ready, your dentist will lightly scrape away a portion of the enamel on the surface of your natural teeth before applying a cement. The veneers will be placed on top, and become secure as the cement dries.
Veneers not only offer a cosmetic solution for a myriad of dental flaws, but are easy to maintain and long lasting. Call River Forest Dental in River Forest, IL, at (708) 366-6760 for a consultation.
